Dr. Cook is a member of the America Academy of Periodontology, Broward County Dental Association and Fort Lauderdale study club.
Dr. Cook is the director of the Intracoastal Dental Study Club which offers seminars for dental continuing education. Dr. Cook is also the Co-Chair of the Department of Implant Dentistry at the Broward College. He is also on staff at the Broward Health Imperial Point Hospital.
Dr. Raul Cook earned his dental degree from CES University, Colombia, in 1994. In 1998 he achieved a Master in Public Health in the CES University as well. He completed a 3-year Master Program in Periodontics at Saint Louis University in 2008, and his research project was on “The Mandibular Density Heritability in a Captive Baboon Population”.

The different alternative options to implants that we provide are:
Implants can replace a single tooth with the use of a post that substitutes as a tooth root, and a crown that fits on an abutment on top of the post. Once placed, a single tooth implant will feel and perform like a natural tooth.
Multiple tooth implants are used to replace several teeth that are missing. This can be done by either placing implants side-by-side, or by placing implants at each end of a gap and placing a crown and bridge restoration on top. Full arch implants are used to replace an entire upper or lower arch of teeth. This is done by strategically placing implants along the upper or lower jaw, and attaching a denture-like attachment over abutments on the implant posts. The procedure is usually done in-office and if desired the patient is under twilight sleep. The implants and tooth restorations are placed together in a few hours. Healing time is quicker than with traditional implants.
